    Udupi Palace- Experience And Review

To check out more posts from my trip to Toronto click┬áhere. This is another restaurant that we were super excited about. We hadn’t had South Indian food in forever and we were really looking forward to trying this place out. Plus the Udupi Palace had really good reviews online and the food looked good so we were excited. When we first walked in we saw the beautiful decorations. They were so pretty and gave the restaurant a really nice Indian feel to it. The paintings were really beautiful in particular and they were so nice to look at while were eating. We ordered the fries, the assorted palace hor-d’oeuvres, the…

    Cosmic Treats- Experience And Review

To check out more posts from my trip to Toronto click here. So Cosmic Treats was the second restaurant we went to on our first day in Toronto. We had heard a lot of good reviews of it online so we were looking forward to it and had high expectations. However, unfortunately we were a little disappointed by it. So let’s start with the cupcakes. We ordered one vanilla and one chocolate. They both looked really good and the vanilla one had little bunny ears (it was during the Easter weekend). The taste was a little too sugary for us and it was one of those things where the first…

    Planta Queen- Experience And Review

We were famished by the time we reached Toronto so we decided to head straight to Planta Queen- a vegan Asian restaurant we had been hearing so much about. Our reservation was for a little later but they were so sweet and said that we could we could sit down earlier. The restaurant itself was absolutely gorgeous with paintings of dragons and lots of trees and chandeliers. It was a really fancy place which honestly I felt a little under dressed for. I felt like I should be wearing a shiny dress or something… čśé Now on to the main stuff- the food! We had the General Lee’s Cauliflower, Kung…

    Travelling In Toronto- Day 2

If you haven’t read the first part of my travel posts check it out by clicking here. First we decided to head to Starbucks to have a cup of coffee and kind of wake ourselves up which was honestly the best way to start the day. Next we went to check out Thompson Hotel which had a gorgeous view of Toronto. It was such a gorgeous place and had an amazing view! It also had a really awesome huge bookshelf painting which I thought was super unique and cool. After that we walked around a little more and explored everything which is so fun to do in Toronto because there…

    Travelling To Toronto- Day 1

As some of you who have read my earlier post know I decided to do a little bit of exploring in Toronto a few weeks back. It was an absolutely amazing experience and we had so much fun there. We were also able to try a bunch of vegan restaurants but I’ll write about those on separate posts because we had so much fun at all of them I need to review them in detail! So when we first arrived we decided to go for an early lunch and then do a little exploring. We pretty much walked around a little bit going into random shops and looking at everything-…

    Home Again- Yay Kenya!

I’m so excited because I’m finally back home in Kenya for the summer! I am so happy to be home and I am definitely planning on relaxing and catching up on my sleep as well as catching up with my friends and family of course! I’m also super excited because I spent a couple of days in Toronto and I can’t wait to share all the amazing (and not so amazing…) experiences I had there so definitely look out for those posts which are coming soon! Also if anyone knows where to get vegan products in Kenya let me know because I would really appreciate any recommendations. I usually go…

    My Favourite Vegan Brands: Arbonne

Again this is another one of those brands that I had┬áheard about but I didn’t know much about till just some time ago. As usual I was going through vegan makeup posts on Instagram and┬áI ended up seeing a lot of posts about Arbonne which obviously made me a little curious! Turns out they are vegan, cruelty-free , non-GMO, Kosher and gluten free. They are not crazy expensive but they are on the expensive side so if you’re looking for super affordable makeup this is not for you but if you don’t mind the price and want really good quality makeup then I suggest taking a look at their site!…

    Life Updates!

I know I haven’t been blogging much or keeping up to date with everyone else’s blog However, I thought I would update you with everything that’s going on right now (admittedly not a lot…) I have a bunch of assignments due soon (one tomorrow and 3 next week) and I have a midterm test next week for Sociology so I’ll mostly be revising this week which is very hard to do when it’s cold and snowing and all you want to do is curl up in bed and hibernate. I also tried out some vegan Indian food from Touch Of India this week which was really good! Touch of India…

    Urghhh

So the building I’m renting in has decided we have to fumigate everything which means I will have to basically move all my stuff then clean everything then move in everything again. It’s so inconvenient and I’m not sure how we’ll even do that! I just unpacked all my stuff and now I have to pack it again?? Do they realise how difficult that is?? We have to remove everything including the things in the cabinets on top of everything etc… And they’re not offering us any storage place or an alternative place to┬ástay because we can’t enter the house for a few hours or use anything without cleaning it…
