    My 2016 Favorites!!!

So it’s almost the end of the year and I really wanted to share some of the things I really enjoyed this year! My 5 Favorite Books Of 2016:  The Unknown Ego– this book is about the Freudian theory of the ego and how it effects behavior. It explains from a psychodynamic approach how human behavior is effected by the by our earlier experiences in life. I would not really encourage everyone to read it but I would encourage anyone who is interested in psychology, especially the psychodynamic approach, to check this book out. I’m still barely starting to learn psychology but since I want to become a therapist I thought…

    My February Favourites

February was a pretty fun month and I thought I would share some of my favorite books and music from that month. Books “She smokes like a chimney, drinks like a fish and dresses like her mother” Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding- this book is eccentric, hilarious, crazy and fun. It may not be a literary classic but everyone needs to read this book at least once. It’s about a woman, Bridget, who is concerned about dying alone and being eaten by her dogs. In her desperation she ends up with a flirty, player and snubs a genuinely sweet man. The story consists of her figuring her life out…

    My January Favorites

So I decided to do another favorites post since January was a very fun month and I read a bunch of new books and got into a bunch of awesome music! My Favorite Books I haven’t really read those many books this month since my school started and I’ve been pretty busy actually but I read these three and I absolutely loved them. Dyan Sheldon, John Green and Khaled Hosseini are some of my favorite writers and these books were really amazing. And Baby Makes Two by Dyan Sheldon– this book is not just another YA novel. Well technically it is but it is completely different from all the others…

    My Favorite Books Of 2015

*Warning: May Contain Spoilers* This year I have tried to do a lot of new things (like start blogging) and so I tried to read more books than I usually do. I tried to read at least one book a week and these are some of my favorite books I have read this year in no particular order. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Leuithan “You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose” I read this book pretty recently and absolutely fell in love with it. Honestly everything John Green does is pure genius but in this…

    My Favorites This Month

This month has been really crazy and I thought I would write a post about some of my favorite things this month. Books The Well Of Loneliness by Radclyffe Hall- this fascinating read challenged mainstream society and was banned upon publication nearly ruining Hall’s career. It is not an autobiography but is very similar to Hall’s own life. The story revolves around Stephen a girl whose parents are disappointed at having a daughter. Her father quickly accepts that he has a daughter instead of the son he longed for but her mother never really gets over it. Stephen who was always more masculine and different from the other girls grows…
