Why And How I Made The Changes

So you know how we have all been stuck inside lately? Well I had been wanting to get some SEO work done for my blog anyway so I thought this would be the best time to do this. I first learned about Debby and her work through her WordPress blog. After reading some of her posts and seeing how helpful her tips are I decided to reach out and ask for help with my blog. She was super sweet and asked for some information which I then provided her with. So here’s the funny part- I’m not trying to blow my own trumpet or anything but I thought my posts and blog is general was okay and I didn’t realise how many HUGE mistakes I had been making this whole time. After looking through everything, Debby showed me all the problems and how to fix them and this took me a while- I’m still working on a lot of it as it takes some time to fully fix/change and like I said there was a lot to fix. I thought Debby was super helpful because I know almost nothing about SEO stuff and she answered my questions and helped me as much as she could.

How The Changes Have Worked Our For Me So Far

I have gotten some pretty awesome results so far. Firstly, I hated the theme I had been using before and this helped me find the perfect theme for me right now. I am very satisfied with my current theme and my blogs look in general. I think it looks a lot more professional, has much better loading time, has better fonts and more. Honestly, you don’t even realise how much these tiny things effect your blog.

Secondly, my search engine traffic has increased and I am happy to report that my email followers have increased as well! My email following was much lower than my WordPress following and to be honest I was not fully sure how to change that and increase my email followers. However, the changes seem to be helping for sure.

Lastly, I have also been getting a lot more views from around the world which is really awesome. I used to mainly get views from the US, Canada, UK and India, which I still get, but now I also get views from African countries, Middle Eastern Countries, European countries, Australia and more.

Final Thoughts And Opinions

I think that this was definitely worth it for me. I did not realise just how many mistakes I was making and how much damage these mistakes were doing. I also did not realise that they were quite simple to fix. This experience helped me better understand SEO, my SEO mistakes and how to fix these mistakes. I’m glad I worked with Debby and hope to continue working with her till my blog is perfect- SEO wise I mean.

Debby also offers free advice/answers in the comments section of her blog in case you have any questions for her. She only charges if you want her to perform hand-on work for your blog. She is super helpful and knows what she’s talking about when it comes to SEO so I would recommend at least checking out her posts.

  1. I love the new look Pooja, it’s clean and so much easier to read now. I’d also contacted Debby and she pointed out lots of errors for my blog too. I’m glad she liked the look of my blog, the theme and content. I still have many changes to make tho.

  2. This was such a great post! And so informative for a techno dummy like me, because I really don’t know much about the technicalities of blogging. I’m so glad your blog is growing!! Also, I’ve nominated you for a blogging award (the mystery blogger award) xx If you accept the nomination, you can see my questions for you in my latest blog post about the award xx

  4. I need to get some SEO work done too, sooner than later! For now I will just come up with a direction for my blog because now that life is slowly getting back to normal, blogging is proving hard to stick to!

    1. Yeah blogging does actually take a lot more time and work than a lot of people realise. It took me forever to find a schedule that would work to keep everything balanced. SEO stuff is super important so yes definitely look into that eventually too!
