Mimie Mailumo: I am currently majoring in History and I am twenty three years old! Poet Of The Light: Ooh this is a tough one! With the whole pandemic going on I haven’t been able to go home in a while so I would be at home in Kenya with my parents just eating some pizza and hanging out. I'm Done With WordPress
If you read yesterdays post you probably know that I was having trouble with my WordPress site. I was not surprised because that happens quite often because WordPress does have quite a few bugs it needs to work on. The problem was that I was not able to like or follow other blogs/posts. I contacted the Happiness Engineers and although they were very nice they were not able to fix the problem and I was told the team was working on it. I was busy yesterday so I just hoped for the best and moved on. Today I did a bit more research and from other peoples experience it says…

60's/70's Music I Love
The Sixties And Seventies This is a post I have been wanting to make for such a long time now- for literally over six months lol! As some of you may know I took a course on the sixties last year/semester at university and I learnt so much amazing stuff in it. One of the things that really stood out to me was the counterculture and the music that was such a huge part of this counterculture. I love music so much and I’m always willing to give something new a listen especially when it will get me a good grade. Since I have not really made a post about…

How Moving Abroad Changed My Life
Moving Abroad A few years ago I moved from Kenya to Canada to study abroad and get my undergraduate degree. As you can imagine this was a huge change in my life and a lot changed after I moved. I have been in Canada for about three years now and a lot has changed in my life in those three years. A while ago I asked you guys what you wanted to see on lifesfinewhine and one of the suggestions was a post about how my life has changed after moving abroad. I thought this would be super interesting to share with you guys because as I mentioned so much…

18k WordPress Followers
Wow I can not believe that lifesfinewhine has already reached 18k followers- it really seems like just yesterday I was celebrating 17k! I am so thankful for every single person that has chosen to follow my blog and for every single person who has chosen to follow, like, share and comment! Also I apologise in advance if the gifs on this post look weird- the block editor won’t let me adjust their size and they look huge. I really try very hard to make lifesfinewhine as inclusive and open as possible. Whenever I get comments and get to chat with you guys I feel so much better. To be honest…

We Need To Talk
No, I am not breaking up with you don’t worry lol! Isn’t it funny how every time someone says we need to talk we think they are going to break up with us. Anyway, what I wanted was to talk to you and address a few things regarding this blog and my life in general. As many of you know I am a full time student and my classes are going to be starting quite soon. This is my fourth and last year of university so I plan on concentrating on it and making it my priority. Of course I will still continue to blog as regularly as possibly but…

How To Manage Your Blog While Having A Busy Life
Managing Your Blog While Having A Busy Life I took a survey/poll a while back and asked what you guys wanted to see on lifesfinewhine or if there were any specific blogging topics you guys wanted to see me write about and one of the suggestions I got was to write on how I maintain by blog while having a busy life. I am a full time student at university at the moment and as a history major you can image how busy I can get sometimes with all the reading and writing that comes along with history. I also get super busy with blogging because over the last few…

How To Save Money During Lockdown
The Lockdown And Money For a lot of people the lockdown has had an impact on their finances. As a student I know that it is really difficult for students right now. A lot of international students are stuck in a country they may not want to be in right now, many have lost their jobs temporarily or permanently and many have had to pay for unforeseen expenses created due to the lockdown. And obviously it’s not just students. Many people in general have faced a decrease in their income and an increase in expenses at this time. Over the last few weeks I have been able to pick up…

Life Update #3: I Did A Thing…
I thought I would do another little update and let you guys know what’s going on with me at the moment. To be fully honest not too much has changed because of everything that’s still going on. I was kind of hoping the pandemic would be over by now but obviously that is still going on. I hope everyone is trying really hard to stay safe and following the rules because you are not only putting yourself in danger but others too when you refuse to follow the rules. It may seem like everything is back to normal because everything is opening up but it’s not. A blogger I really…
