    Shamba Cafe Review And Experience

So a couple of days ago I was lucky enough to go to Shamba Cafe with some friends and my sister. It was such a fun and amazing experience I had to share it with you guys. Firstly we were blown away by how beautiful the place was. There was so much nature and since the area is surrounded by farms the view was incredible. They also grow some of the plants they use in that area. There were also some super cute goats hanging out there! They were super friendly and soooo adorable! We had some coffee’s- I had decaf with soy milk cos anxiety is a thing- and…

    K1 Klubhouse Flea Market

So I had heard a lot about this place even before I went there and we had been planning to go here even before we reached Kenya. I was super excited to see the flea market because I had heard a lot about it and seen so many cool pictures. Plus everything is handmade and local which I thought was really cool! This is what the place looks like with lots of umbrellas hanging everywhere and everyone sitting in the middle. It had such a great vibe we were super into it! And the stalls had so many interesting things too. Here are some locally handmade organic vegan and cruelty…

    My Crazy Flight

So I’m back in Canada- we arrived yesterday and oh boy do I have a crazy story for you! It was super rainy in Nairobi so our flight got delayed and consequently we missed our flight to Toronto and I was stuck in Ethiopia for 2 days which was a true blessing in disguise because I had the most amazing time ever! The food was amazing and the country is so beautiful. There is so much greenery everywhere I was blown away. I’m super busy at the moment getting everything ready for school and stuff but I will absolutely be posting lots of pictures of it as soon as I get some time as well as some…

    A No From The Universe

If you’re wondering why I haven’t posted in a while it’s because the universe hates me. My laptop’s screen broke again and I had to get it replaced. Luckily I’ve got it back now and it’s fine. Anyway, just wanted to give you a little update on what’s going on with me. On Thursday, we decided to go to this place called Village Market and it ended up being super fun! It has a really artsy vibe and it’s just such a fun place although it’s really big so it takes forever to get from one end to the other! We ended up going to one of my favourite bookstores…

    The Concord Hotel

This is another place in Nairobi that I really enjoy going to. It’s so beautiful and as soon as you walk in you’re surrounded by beautiful artwork! Then there are beautiful areas both on the first and second floor where you can have food and drinks. It’s all open so you can look at the beautiful view around while enjoying your meal. There’s a lovely swimming pool area where you can relax and take a dip! It’s right next to the gym in case you feel like working out later! If you are ever in Nairobi I would definitely recommend you check out this amazing place with friendly staff members, good…

    DusitD2

As you guys know I’ve been back in Nairobi for a while and I thought I would explore a little and go see some new places I’ve never been to before. This post is actually coming in a little late because we visited the place like 3 weeks ago. Anyway we decided to first check out the Rouge Deck which is by far the coolest place I’ve been to recently! It’s located in DusitD2 which is actually a hotel but has a lot of cool things too! They have a red pool and there’s a sitting area in the pool- like right in it- which is why it’s called the Rouge Deck! That was a really…

Why I Wasn’t Around Last Week

So before last week I was on the right track and blogging regularly but on Saturday I started feeling slightly sick but I just ignored it and I was like it’ll probably go away. But by Sunday night it got really bad so I decided to go to the doctor on Monday and get it over with. Unfortunately, the doctor misdiagnosed my symptoms and gave me the wrong medicines which literally made me feel like I was dying. I have seriously never felt that bad in my life. So I went to a different doctor recommended by a friend and she at least diagnosed me correctly. However, even after asking her to…

Learning About Kenya And The US

Shay-lon and I have been friends for a while now. She is from Ohio, USA and I live in Kenya and we thought it would be really fun if we made a post asking each other questions about Kenya/US and see what the other country is like. To check out her take on this click here. Questions From Me From Shay-lon: What’s your favorite American food? I like Italian dishes, and Mexican food. But if you mean “American”, I would say probably a hamburger! Like something about eating a hamburger with whatever toppings really makes me drool – I have tried so many different ones and they have been delicious.…
