    My Favorite Books Of 2015

*Warning: May Contain Spoilers* This year I have tried to do a lot of new things (like start blogging) and so I tried to read more books than I usually do. I tried to read at least one book a week and these are some of my favorite books I have read this year in no particular order. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Leuithan “You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose” I read this book pretty recently and absolutely fell in love with it. Honestly everything John Green does is pure genius but in this…

    Things To Do In 2016!

Since it’s going to be 2016 soon I thought that I would start it positively and try to achieve some of my goals. This year I realized even though I turned eighteen I haven’t really achieved everything I thought I would by the time I’m an adult. For 2016 I felt like I really want to try new things and have some fun before I start university. So I decided to share some things I’m planning to do this year so maybe you guys can do it too and bring positivity to your lives in the coming year. Get a jar- I actually read about this on the internet and…

Book Review: Will Grayson, Will Grayson

*Warning: Contains Spoilers* “You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose” Will Grayson, Will Grayson is another enchanting novel by John Green and David Leuithan that I have absolutely been obsessed with lately. It has the realistic yet engrossing characters and plot that we have now learned to associate with John Green while on the other hand it also has a darker and definitely relatable side that Leuithan is responsible for. This collaboration of writers is so perfect because they both bring out the struggles of both being a teenager and being homosexual so well. Green’s Will Grayson is admittedly…

Why Boys And Girls Are Not Equal (Guest Post)

Before I begin, I would like to say to all the feminists out there – please don’t kill me. Also I am not speaking in negative terms, or opposing you. I am just expressing this whole issue in different terms so please hear me out. When people usually ask me (and this is very rare because who wants to talk about world issues) “are boys and girls equal?” and I unfortunately respond “no”, they’ll go nuts and start accusing me of being ‘sexist’ and ‘gender biased’ etc. Firstly, could you specify in what terms you are asking me that? Do you mean “if we can attend school together” or “if…

    Her- A Poem

Her blonde hair shines in the sun Her blue eyes sparkle She is finally happy Doing what she loves She chose the wrong career at first She was influenced too much By the people around her She met the wrong man He never treated her right As soon as he heard she wanted to keep the baby He said goodbye and left Never to be seen again She cried and fell apart And then she picked herself up Her beautiful daughter now means the world to her She went back to college And got the degree she had always wanted She met a handsome lover Who always treated her right…

Book Review: A Game Of Thrones

*Warning: Contains Spoilers* Recently I began reading George R. R. Martin’s A Game Of Thrones which is the first book from his A Song Of Fire And Ice series. When it comes to the fantasy genre I must admit I am not always a huge fan and I am hardly ever impressed but this book is truly amazing. Like most people who enjoy reading (and as a self-proclaimed bibliophile) I almost always prefer reading the books rather than watching the show/movie however for some reason (peer pressure- you know who you are…) I decided to watch the show first because honestly with school and everything going on at the time I didn’t…

    Good Bad Habits

There are habits we are all familiar with that are frowned upon however some of them may actually be more beneficial to us than we care to admit. Here are a few good bad habits: Chewing gum– firstly chewing gum actually helps you reduce your calories (go wild ladies!). To be exact it burns 11 calories per hour. Furthermore, it helps you curb your craving for sweet and high calorie foods. Secondly, chewing gum gives your ability to concentrate a boost so maybe schools need to start allowing students to chew gum in class (just a suggestion). “For some reason, chewing gum for me gets my brain going.” – Brie…

    Dream Crushers

So recently I’ve been noticing our entire society is just really into ruining people’s dreams. It’s happening everywhere even in our schools and homes. As soon as a child is born we all have a certain idea of what it should be like and what career it should pick in the future and we pretty much plan out its entire life. As the child grows up we keep encouraging it to do what we want and when it hits a certain age when it has to pick a career we pretty much force it into doing what we want. If someone has a different idea we all just rip into…
